John Henry Cardinal Newman - The Venerable John Henry Cardinal Newman (February 21 1801 – August 11 1890) was an English convert to Catholicism, later made a cardinal. In early life he was a major figure in the Oxford Movement to bring the Church of England back to its Catholic roots.

Henry William Wilberforce - Henry William Wilberforce (September 22, 1807 - April 23, 1873), the youngest son of William Wilberforce, was an English Catholic journalist and author. He studied law at Oxford and was a pupil of John Henry Newman, through whose influence he later took orders as an Anglican priest.

Carl F. H. Henry - Carl Ferdinand Howard Henry (January 22, 1913 – December 7, 2003) was an evangelical Christian theologian, who founded the magazine Christianity Today as a scholarly voice for evangelical Christianity and as a challenge to the liberal Christian Century. The new magazine soon outdistanced its competitor in readership, though it was not without its critics.

Oxford University Newman Society - The Oxford University Newman Society is arguably Oxford University's oldest student society, and certainly its oldest Catholic society. Founded as the Catholic Club in 1878, it was not until 1888 that the club was renamed the Newman Society as a tribute to John Henry Cardinal Newman, who had done a vast amount to advance the cause of Catholicism at Oxford, both as an Anglican striving to recover Anglicanism's Catholic roots, and subsequently as a convert to Catholicism.
